It is a short drive to the Clearwater Marina for boating tours, fishing, or shopping. Head south and you are 15 minutes from John's Pass, a popular destination with many restaurants, fishing charters, parasailing, waverunner rentals, and an old-fashioned boardwalk lined with interesting shops.
If you take an early morning walk you will enjoy the uncrowded beaches and soft white sand, not to mention the nearly perfect year-round weather. If you are lucky, you’ll probably spot a few dolphins as well.
Numerous attractions nearby include Busch Gardens (30 minutes), Disney World (90 minutes), golf, Tampa Aquarium, art museums, planetarium, theatre, plenty of good restaurants, water sports, and other activities within minutes.

Playground is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
Each night, from two hours before to two hours after Sunset, visit the Sunsets at Pier 60 street festival featuring local artisans and performers. Free.
